Lens Color Characteristics for Shooting

Night Vision / Light-Medium Yellow:  Low Light conditions. Overcast days.  Evening or artificial/indoor light conditions. Enhances orange target.

Opti-Glow:  High contrast.  Makes orange targets jump out.  Reduces blue light.  Medium to low light conditions.

Orchid #1-2 / Light Purple: 
Provides excellent contrast of orange targets against green tree background or blue sky background to lesser extentHighlights orange and dampens green.  Medium to low light conditions.

Orchid #3 / Deep Purple: 
For very bright conditions.  Provides great contrast of orange targets against a deep blue sky.  An excellent  lens for glare reduction.  Provides excellent contrast of orange targets against green tree background.  Highlights orange and dampens green.

Bronze #1-2:  Good all around enhancing lens.  Medium to low light conditions. Good for hunting in field.

Bronze #3-5 / Ranger Bronze: 
High contrast for bright, glaring days with open background.  Good for hunting in field and snow conditions.  Reduces blue light.

Vermillion:  Enhances orange target.  Reduces blue light.  Medium light.  Highlights orange and softens green.  Good for seeing target against green tree background.  Helps with red-green color deficiency.

Opti-block #1-2 / Deep Yellow: 
Enhances orange target.  Overcast foggy days or late afternoon. Good lens for rifle or pistol shooting with black and white targets. Can be used in indoor ranges.  Reduces blue light.  Medium to low light conditions.

Optic
-Block #3-5:  Enhances orange target.  Reduces blue light.  High sunlight.

Target Orange #1-3:  Enhances orange target.  Medium to low light conditions.  Reduces blue light.

Ranger Orange:  Excellent all around lens for orange clay targets.  Dull cloudy days, dusk or dawn.  Enhances the orange of the target.

Sunset Orange
:
  Bright, hazy conditions.  Slightly darker then orange #45 to absorb scattered blue light, for contrast.  Enhances visual acuity.

SCL-G
:  Enhances black target.  Medium to low light conditions.

SCL-B:  Enhances black target.  Also, good for billiards.  Medium to low light conditions. 

SCL-O:  Enhancement for overcast conditions.  Also enhances black and white targets.

Brown: 
Light reducing giving good definition of orange targets. A good all around lens for shooting orange targets on bright glaring days with open background.  

Grey:  Reduces sun while transmitting all colors at the same level.  Good for Rifle and Pistol Shooters on bright days.  Does not distort colors or enhance orange target like a brown lens.  Good for black target in high sunlight. 

G-15:  Bausch & Lomb sunglass.  Traditional aviator color.  High sunlight conditions. True colors.  Does not enhance.

Polaroids:  Reduce glare off water and metal objects.  Best Polaroid for shooting is enhancing Amber.
